
“Science is not just a subject — it’s a way of life “
Expert Pre-University College, under the Expert Group of Institutions, hosted Xcelerate 2025, an inter-school Science Xtravaganza that brought together young innovators from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts at the Kodialbail campus. The fest featured four categories — X-Quizit, X-IgnAIte, X-Zibit, and X-Sight — designed to inspire curiosity and hands-on learning in STEM.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Pramod Hegde, Chairman and Managing Director of MEDITEK INDIA and Medorganics India Pvt. Ltd., who launched a symbolic rocket to mark the occasion. Emphasizing the importance of nurturing innovation, he remarked, “Science is not just a subject — it’s a way of life.”
Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman of the Expert Group of Institutions, declared the fest open, urging students to draw inspiration from pioneers like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Marie Curie. Dr. Ushaprabha N. Nayak, Vice Chairperson, in her keynote address, called the high school years the “golden period” for shaping the future.
At the valedictory, Sri Darshan H. V., Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, encouraged students to pursue their goals with perseverance, saying, “Success and failure are two sides of the same coin.”

Distinguished guests included Ustad Rafiq Khan, Sitar Maestro and Trustee, and Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, Principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail.The event was hosted by Ms. Ujwal Pradeep, Lecturer in Biology, and the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Sourabh G Anchan, Lecturer in Physics and Program Coordinator.
Xcelerate 2025, supported by Spices N Chefs, School Book Company, Rai’s Masala, Friends Plywood, Bubbles Juice, and Mudra Printers, proved to be a vibrant platform where young minds explored, interacted, and innovated — setting a new benchmark for science education in the region.
