Expert College Hosts Annual Sports Meet 2025
Mangaluru: Expert PU College, Kodialbail, held its Annual Sports Meet 2025 at Mangala Stadium on October 26. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Shyam Bhat, Senior Vice President, Axis Bank, Mangaluru, who highlighted the role of sports in building discipline, dedication, and determination.
Dignitaries present included Dr. Ushaprabha N. Nayak, Vice Chairperson; Mr. Ankush N. Nayak, IT Head; Yogarathna Gopalkrishna Delampady; and Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, Principal. The ceremony featured a march past, torch relay, flag hoisting, and oath-taking led by Ms. Sthutishree, Vice-President of the college. Ms. Shwetha Suvarna, Head of the English Department, compered the inaugural programme.
The day saw several track and team events showcasing athletic talent and teamwork.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Mr. Nithin Poojary, Director of Physical Education, SDM Polytechnic College, Ujire, who urged students to value sports and discipline.Prathul DR (C2) and Abhishta (E2) won the individual championships for boys and girls respectively, while B2 batch bagged the overall championship.
The event concluded with the lowering of the flag and the national anthem. Ranjal Latha Shenoy, lecturer from the English Department, compered the valedictory, and Pramod Kini, Sports Day coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
