“It is absolutely worth cracking IPS, even though it is a hard path,”
Expert PU College, Kodialbail, organised an inspiring Alum Talk by its alumnus Sri Mithun H. N., IPS (DCP – Law & Order, Mangalore) at Expodium.
Speaking on “Opportunities in Civil Services,” he shared his journey from being a student at Expert PU College to becoming an IPS officer, giving students a realistic picture of the dedication and perseverance required to crack one of India’s toughest examinations. He elaborated on various prestigious civil services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), explaining their roles, responsibilities, and the immense impact these services have on society. He urged them to stay informed, read newspapers regularly, and use the internet wisely.
Sri Mithun also inaugurated the college’s new Child Rights Club, “Right Guardians,” and awarded prizes to winners of the slogan-writing competition. The event was attended by Mr. Ankush N Nayak, Principal Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, and faculty members, and was compered by Vanshika of KC1.
