Dr. N.K. Vijayan Karippal brings a wealth of academic preparation to his role as Principal. He holds a diverse array of degrees, including an M.A in English Language & Literature, an M.Sc in Applied Psychology, an M.A in Sociology, and an M.Ed with First Rank. His academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Education from the prestigious University of Calicut.
Dr. Karippal’s professional training is equally impressive, with a B.Ed featuring dual specialization in Guidance and Counselling & Moral and Spiritual Education from the Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education in Mysore. He has also completed a Management Development Program and Leadership training at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and pursued advanced training through a UGC refresher course at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore.
Drawing from a global perspective, Dr. Karippal received valuable training and first-hand experience from schools, colleges, and universities in Minnesota and Wisconsin, United States of America in 2010, enhancing his international outlook.
As a prolific author, Dr. Karippal serves as the Consultant Editor and Editorial columnist for “The Children’s Magazine” in Cochin and has published hundreds of career coaching columns in Employment News Weekly. He has also authored two books, “The Social Science Education” and “Early Childhood Care & Education.”
Dr. Karippal’s administrative and teaching experience spans various educational institutions, including serving as the Head of the Department of Teacher Education (B.Ed) at Kannur University, Kasaragod, and as the Principal of CBSE Senior Secondary schools. He has also worked as the Principal of an International School with an IGCSE syllabus and Cambridge University Affiliation. His teaching career includes a stint as a Lecturer at University College of Teacher Education, Tali, Calicut, and work as a Consultant Educational Psychologist.
Dr. Karippal has contributed his expertise as a Resource Person for renowned entities such as Oxford University Press and Macmillan India Pvt. Ltd. He has also shared his knowledge with esteemed institutions like the Central University of Kerala and the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore.
His dedication to education has earned him accolades such as the “Broad Outlook Learner – Teacher Award” from Air India and Malayala Manorama in 2007, the “JJ Goodwin Scholarship” from Belur Math, Kolkata in 1996, and the “Youth Icon Award” in the field of Coaching and Mentoring by Junior Chambers International in 2014.
